Grande iced vanilla latte, anyone? Today we’re celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Starbucks IPO!
SBUX debuted on the NASDAQ exchange in June 1992, but it was about forty years ago when the first-ever Starbucks store opened, in Seattle’s Pike Place Market (it’s still there with its original look — check out the photo above). The simple cup of joe — and the coffee industry — has never been the same.
