#3: Andrew Mason’s Killer Death Stare
[Top 10 Moments From A Decade of All Things Digital]
As D10 kicks off today in Racho Palos Verdes, Calif., we pick up our Countdown post-holiday with moment #3, from last year’s conference, when Groupon CEO Andrew Mason insisted he wanted to break some news himself, then announced that there was still absolutely nothing to report about Groupon’s IPO, which at the time was reportedly just days from happening.
But Kara wanted more — since she suspected the company was about to list, she asked again. And that time, Mason responded with his own special technique — rather than continuing to dodge, he simply flashed his (pretty effective and hilarious) Death Stare.
(P.S. The company debuted here on NASDAQ as GRPN on Nov. 4, 2011.)
